I feel like the world voted for Obama, but now I am seeing more and more Clinton staffers and now this, hum.

Join the Orlando/Central Florida Human Rights Campaign

on Saturday November 15th @ 1:30pm EST for a peaceful protest.
The HRC Orlando Steering Committee (still grieving from our own loss of Amendment 2)
is coordinating with the national “Join the Impact” protest at http://www.

jointheimpact. com to show solidarity with California and the 30 states that now
have constitutional amendments banning same-sex unions.

This protest is also a place for emotional release… a chance for those of us defeated
by Amendment 2 to tell the world “no more”. It’s a chance to say that although Amendment 2
knocked us down… we are back up on our feet, standing united against discrimination
and will not accept further assaults on our humanity. It’s our responsibility to say ‘enough’.

While calling for the most powerful nationwide visual of unity ever seen, we want to be very clear
that this will be a peaceful protest… One that demonstrates the hope and the resilience of our community.

We can’t do this alone! We need your help! We need you to step out for equality. If you have plans…
cancel them. If you don’t have plans… you do now! This could be the biggest outpouring
since Stonewall and we hope you will join us and be a part of it.

So, bring your friends, bring your families, bring your neighbors… This is about GLBT people standing
shoulder to shoulder with our straight allies and sending a message to those who have discriminated
against us.

It’s time for the world to see that we are a strong, adamant and powerful community that deserves

I actually agree with Pat Robertson, If you ask the question “is she able be VP with 5 kids”… that is sexist, did they ask Sen Obama, he has 2 kids, did they ask Sen Biden, he has several children also.

When Sen Obama half-siblings were brought up… the media barely gave it a once over, be fore it was toss to page 6.

the point most of us are trying to get our head around is that the use of nomenclature she, he, fist woman, first african american, man vs woman… is getting old, and trite.

“person” seems to fit… the best person for the job, or position.

with a poll rating of 80+ percent in her satate even after the uprise in her own party along with other milestones, the state of alaska is still in agreement with their vote.

no voters remose in that state!

and I think that CNN and cmbc along with msnbc has place their big foot in their mouth and they do not want to admit that after ignoring Sen McCain for most of this years coverage, that when they did not have Sen. Clinton to picked apart, and Sen Obama was their obvious choice among their anchors, they moved on to McCain… Well McCain’s team played their ACE, and thank god someone {Gov. Palin) knows how to play REAL HARDBALL!

When will we describe history with out gender or race as it’s marker?

I am speechless/ no words to type can describe..[quote Sen. Obama- “this was never about race”, ] yet He himself made it about race in his address to all Americans last night.

There have been African American men and women in high office, in and out private and public service sectors. I am not surprised by the nomination, or the election of Sen Obama, I am only surprised that Americans still felt the need to be vindicated on this matter. I am Korean.. and I realize my ethnic background is not a topic usually correlated with racial bias.. but I will state as a Korean American from the day I walked into “pre-K classroom”.. I knew I was different. It was my Parents who told me otherwise. it was my parents who influenced my opinions on who I was and where I stood among other Americans. I can say that I have not walked in the same shoes as an African American, but I can say that I have been a target for bias, but I am never a victim… I did not allow it nor did my parents..who by the way are from upstate New York, (German/Jewish and Protestant).

I think that the last 20 plus years our young American’s have been parent less. hum when will we describe history with out gender or race? Now that would be History! oh wait we did, it was on Sept 17th, 1787.

I think that there is a world of difference between yesterday and today, I think all us realize the history being made. I never thought that I would be watching Fox news, but it seems that they were by far the most non-partisan media out let available during the past 21 months. the next 76 days on every other station will always be pre-address as the first African American president… Poor Sen, oops.. President-elect Barack Obama, will have this the bare forever… I hope that he out shines his history making day, by being the FIRST OUTSTANDING non-partisan PRESIDENT, Now that would be history.

This is not intended to offend anyone, it is only to show how long it took to get back to where we once were on that 17 day of September, 1787

The only prerequisite that is listed…[ shall not have attained to the Age of thirty Years, and been nine Years a Citizen of the United States, and who shall not, when elected, be an Inhabitant of that State for which he shall be chosen. ] none of which related to ethnicity or gender. If there is anything that is historic or meaningful is that it took a citizen of a minority population, to leads us to what we the majority would of known and ascend to years ago. One last item, the fact that the citizen is also a graduate of constitutional law is not a surprise.
