Distant eyes
So close to saying
Everything is more than
you care to bare
Don’t keep you, from who you
want to be
let those eyes lead you
to the one who’ll set you free
No room for complacency
Dependency is not a safe place
to close those soulful eyes
You maybe be clipped by harsh reality of less mortal freedoms
If it’s the spiritual freeing your
Lacking
Make one choice, one step & one change
Soon you’ll see
your eyes light up from the freedoms
You sought,
Accept it
Forgive yourself
And change
It’s not simple
But sadness will always
Prevail should you
Deny yourself the freeing
You seek.
