“Who asked who to the Dance” Why the Anthony’s said yes, to the interviews…

Why the Anthony has said, “Yes,” to these interviews, which had been rehashed by Nancy Grace, Jane Velez-Mitchell, and Mike Galanos and many others TV shows.  The answer is “I do not know,” But I did find out that the networks courted the Anthony’s…

Hal, do you have any information on how the interviews were setup?

Hals’ response to my question-

HAL’S NOTE: Maggie Rodriguez of “The Early Show” said she worked a long time to get the Anthony interview.  The Anthony has had a history with Larry King.  Oprah wanted to have an exclusive.  TV shows court interview subjects so they can win the interview; the practice called “the get.”  Hal the TV Guy Orlando Sentinel.

Larry King Live dropped 56 points over the night preceding in the ratings the night he had the Anthony’s on. Larry and CNN can’t be thrilled with those numbers. People on his blog had said they weren’t going to watch and apparently a lot of them stuck to their guns on that one.

Cindy, you need to take heed of the bloggers you so detest. What we “don’t understand” is how quickly you sacrificed Caylee, whom you professed to love so much. You: Controlling Cindy: & you: Gentle George, and you: Laughing Boy Lee have done your best to aid and abet Casey and the crimes she committed. Unconditional love, huh? BS. You contributed to the delay in finding little Caylee’s poor scattered “REMAINS”. George, you knew that smell of death from Casey’s car, Cindy, you knew it also. Lee, when he described that smell, LAUGHED, as if this whole case is a joke. All three of you should pay a bigger price than the grief you experienced over Caylee. You wasted the time and money of law enforcement, honest search organizations, thousands of volunteers, and untold other agencies that participated in searching for “MISSING” little Caylee. You accepted money from strangers anxious to help find Caylee, that is BLOOD MONEY you solicited. Let’s get one thing straight, there is an enormous difference between a missing child and a murdered child. The words both start with the letter “m” but so do the words “murderess” , “monstrous”, “merciless” and “malicious”. There are many more applicable that apply to your daughter, and the bloggers you so detest have supplied many of them. Beautiful little Caylee was not MISSING, she was DEAD, and dumped by the callous mother who got rid of her rather than turn her over to grandparents who had provided for her since birth. How about that “Nanny? You, both Cindy and George, had the audacity to hurl intentionally demeaning insults at the innocent Zenaida G., who rates a ten in my book for all the hell she has undergone from the false accusations. Speaking of looks, take a good hard look at your daughter. Do you now see that dark mass, that corrupt empty space where a mother’s heart should be, and do you regret not taking action to keep Caylee safe from her unloving remorseless mother?.
I am not a “blogger who spends my life finding fault with others”. I’ve got better things to do with my remaining years. I’m 72-years-old, a grandmother, and I dearly love my children and grandchildren. They are the light of my life, and I am so incredibly lucky to be able to enjoy them. I do spend some time blogging, at times when I have just had enough of all the harm done to children without choices, children without voices. I want to see justice prevail for Caylee. Why is it that the criminal is entitled to and provided with unlimited and outrageously expensive legal defense , and more ways to escape justice. So, our laws guarantee the accused the right to a fair trial. Whatever happened to the victim’s rights? Money talks, and it sure has in this case. What bloodsuckers! That Caylee foundation the Anthony family wants should be declared illegal, definitely not a “non-profit organization. There are many honest agencies devoted to finding missing children. How much more money will the Anthony’s attempt to amass from Caylee’s death? We, the bloggers, with the support of an over-worked law enforcement, will continue the quest to seek justice for Caylee.
Dear sweet little Caylee, RIP. Your star in the heavenly skies will shine brightly forever. We blow you kisses, and promise that we will never forget you.
Those anxious to critique my writing, I don’t claim to be an expert in English composition, but I am an expert in “conditional” love – which translates to doing the “right” thing, we only get one chance, and life is precious. Doing the wrong thing for the wrong reasons should be a direct route to hell, do not pass Go, do not collect $$$.$$, and hurry up and exit.

Oops. I apologize, Finn, for not clarifying my shout-out to the Anthony’s. I know that you are not Cindy. Sorry about getting carried away. I was responding to the outrageous performance the Anthony’s made on LKL. I guess I need to stop adding those nails and tacks to my morning cereal.

What happened to Dominic Casey? On another blog site, it was mentioned that he is suffering financially because of this case. I thought the sheriff was supposed to depose him? does anyone know?

    • Finn Perkins
      May 17, 2009 @ 00:31:21

the deposing of Mr. Dominic Casey was for the civil case, and it was Mr. John Morgan who will be doing this. I think he will also be desposed in the criminal case, that would be by either Baez or the new DPQ attorney.

I think after the Cindy Anthony Depsoition, Mr. Morgan isn’t interested in making the other live, as Mr. Casey and Hoover are in the criminal case too. The criminal case takes priority over civil in this state.

the OCSO /FDLE did question both PI’s, but I think it was just after the remains were found I think the intterviews is what the OSCO calls them, are on line somewhere.

Finn-I find your comments to Caligram somewhat offensive. I, for one, enjoyed reading every single word that dear woman had to say. She was right on the money and did a fine job of defending bloggers and what they have been saying these past 10 months. I wouldn;t offend you in any way but to think that she directed her comments to you or thought you were Cindy is kind of an odd observation. Caligram is simply responding to your byline today. Everyone knows who you are Finn and they dodn’t think for a moment you are Mrs. Anthony. It takes an awful lot of effort to write and edit ones work and I appauld her for doing so as well as giving me the “voice” and the “choice” to respond.

She state she had had cetin items for breakfest, I just wanted to give her a choice. she is fine with what I said. just like anything else, sometimes when looking in from the outside, it is unknown what was really said. in this case. I was joking back with her. she seem to take it ok.

No word count 🙂 , She was gracious, but I did not dis agree with her post, only wanted her to know that I was not Cindy.
I think she knew I was just joking. I also suggested that she set up her own blog. she shouldn’t let her writing go to waste. It is something she could do to offer the Sr.s insight to this case…what do you think?

A totally excellent idea!! Caligram is full of life and vivid language. I daresay she was a very good student when it comes to writing composition.

You could never be Cindy Finn but more importantly you have always been kindhearted towards both of them. I can see that Cindy cannot move away from her negative comments about bloggers and others. Her time would be better spent meeting with friends and calling to say “Hi” to Casey. I cannot imagine the heartache they feel at their loss but not calling Casey must be difficult. What do you think?

      May 17, 2009 @ 17:20:41

I think it is hard on them, I know that the public feels otherwise, but they were grandparents, and they are parents. I cannot judge them. I am not parent. I have a cat. He has torn allot of things but I still love him. I know is a weak example, but that’s all I have to go on.

I know my parents and I do not see eye to eye, and there are things that all families deal with, But most families are not force into defending themselves in the media.

The local media has caused this circus. I realize Casey has not been honest with the interviews or her past personnel interactions with her family. these actions still do not profile her as a murderer. The photos from photo bucket, the one everyone wanted to see, only had photos of Caylee and Casey and some of Cindy and the Cindy’s mother. the Party photos were all from a user id file from a laptop Casey had. the c:/documents and settings/bobby was the cpu path address that the black and white picture of the little pencil drawn child and the hanging teddy bear. The media has not pushed on WHO bobby is. I’d like to know if the Laptop was a friends, or purchased used. if so, sometimes the files are sill in the registry history section of the hard drive. only a computer tech would know how to remove it, with out reformatting the hard drive.

I do believe the parents more than I do Casey’s interviews. I do not believe Lenard Padilla or any the cable outlets, they are reporting from 2nd, 3rd and 4th hand news sources, which are also based on the originating news affiliates interpretation of the documents or of there opinion/analysis of the videos from the FDLE interviews and other post arrest taping.
I could keep going, but I’ll save it for another Post.

      Thanks for your post.

Fin-There is only one fact in this case that you should keep in the forefront of your thinking and it is: Casey Anthony never reported her child missing. Think of the media as a novel writer. That one fact is our opening sentence to our novel.
“It was strange that on such a beautiful evening when we celebrated Daddy’s birthday and all the stars were alight in the sky, it would be the last time I would see my beloved Caylee again”.

What happens after this is all the major and minor players who will come out of the woodwork in the following two or three days. In this case we have LE that are almost on a first name basis for many who languish to understand the mind of someone who would not report her missing child. So far this is all we have-and I might add it is within the first 48 hours beginning to look like sex, drugs and a possible abduction of a three year old.

In come all teh reporters and those who are building a career as a result of this story. Look at the attorneys who will be flocking to come on board. Look at the detachment of the accused and the gigantic bond and the Bondsman who is the only one on the planet who thinks she is innocent. The story line will go on and on and as time passes many will fade and others will move forward for their 15 minutes of fame.

Hollywood wishes that it could create these kinds of story lines-they also know that no one would come to the movies if they wrote these kinds of plots and subplots. Most people just want the facts and a resolution to the conflict. Most writer’s want that to.

I doubt very much if this story will ever really “go away”. Today anyone can go to Jackie Peterson’s website and read Scot’s prose. She will keep his website alive for as long as she lives. No one really cares what Mrs Peterson does and if polled most thinking people do not wander into Cindy’s twisted and manipulated mind looking for truth.

She will get better and she will find her bliss in forgiveness of Casey and all that she did.

Maybe a the Victims laws need to be updated to include internet “victims mis-information act..” one that protects the victim even after death.

the open records laws are loose, becasue it is up to the state attorney to file for such exemptions that are a vailable to he or she to use for relief from such over saturation and bias coverage. I think at the end of the day, the state attorney want a fiar trial too. I don’t think any of them want a mis-trial or a jury nullification. they also do not want a verdict set asided, per an appreal request granted.. not to mention an verdict overturned

The DA will want every single piece of evidence collected properly and every single forensic analysis open for review and discussion in ways which bring clarity and understanding for the jurors.

They will have hostile witnesses but none so hostile as to incriminate themselves. The Anthony’s will either be medicated to tone down the rhetoric or rely on Brother Brad to help them out with Objections. Either way it goes the DA will get the answers they are looking for and unless and until another person of interest appears, Casey will have to live with what she told LE on July 15 and 16, 2008.

There will more than likely be a dust up on the defense and we may see Kenny Badan come forward and play a more pirvotal role during pretrial. She needs to exercise some leadership and make sure that Casey understands that she has the most to lose by lying and that mitigating lies is not a strategy any lawyer willingly buys into. After all the guilty go to prison and the lawyer has a reputation to rehabilitate both ethically and legally. Jose is not the smartest lawyer but he is the only one looking out for his own interests-Casey’s are becoming more secondary with each passing day.

For anyone to say in December that the child was alive proves he is in it for the fame and fortune and I say let him have a go at it but don;t expect the wrongfully accused to knock on his door anytime soon.

In the USA all Discovery is published. In FL it is given to the media. If I want to go to the courthourse and read what has been placed before the court I am free to do so. I can sit in on all motions and hear preliminary hearings before any number of judges. Other than the Grand Jury process all court proceedings are open to the public. Nothing is done in secret.

Corruption in the FBI and the State Police across the country takes a long time to litigate but truth prevails if enough good lawyers and citizens demand that the media tell a truthful story. Read Black Mass and other books about how corruption at the highest levels can be gleaned -patience and a quest for the truth are needed. Also a willing and able press who is motivated by the “public’s right to know”.

Where would we be as a country had Bernstein and Woodward been unwilling and unable to track down what happened when a couple of bozos decided to break into the Watergate Hotel? The media brought down the man who was in charge – they safeguarded our country and everything we stand for. We honor those who had the strength and the ethics and the patriotism to do the right thing.

The open records laws are not loose-they are to be read and reviewed and those appointed to resolve legal and civil complaints use them as a guide to resolving the inherent and obvious infractions of laws. Words matter. Knowledge mattters and we owe it to our readers to state things in ways in which we do not mislead or taint the truth.

Esoteric discussions of law and the role of media should be tackled piece by piece and idea by idea so to speak. Placing ideas in context for a clearer understanding is important. Giving an impression that you know what you are talking about based solely on what you agree with limits the discussion and leaves others weary of where to begin.
