somewhere , I would find. . .

can’t remember when I saw the truth in you.
when the day was long
I knew
I would be your end.
when the morning came
I knew I would
it would be the end,
carried away
like a leaf
in an October breeze
I’d float a top
your heart
to be set free.
until the spring I would
be with you
until the end
I know you would never be
with me
not one to beholden to
a love un chosen
given the chance
you would beholden
to a fair hair maiden
of the town unknown
but known to you
a love to call your very own
